Idea workshop: turn an idea into a plan for a website or small tool, without coding
The Idea workshop is XCR’s free idea chat. You don’t need to know how to code. Tell it what you’d like to make, or what you wish were easier at work or at home, and in up to 4 turns XCR helps you pick a direction and writes a first-version plan.
When the plan is ready, you sign in, set up an AI coding tool such as Codex, Claude Code or Cursor (provided by their makers, who may charge for them) and add the free XCR plugin, which makes the page or tool from your plan. Making tasks are billed by usage, and nothing starts or charges automatically. Some people call this way of making software vibe coding.

Is the Idea workshop free?+
Chatting about ideas and getting a plan is free, with daily limits. Making it later is not free: the XCR plugin is a free download, making tasks are billed by usage, and your AI coding tool is billed by its maker.
Can I use it if I have never written code?+
Yes. The chat and the plan use everyday language. When you make it, the AI coding tool and XCR write and check the code; you decide what the result should do.
Will the Idea workshop build the website for me?+
No. The workshop helps you decide what to make and writes the plan. Making it needs a sign-in, an AI coding tool and the XCR plugin.
What happens to my conversation?+
Your messages are sent to AI providers to write the replies, so leave out passwords and sensitive details. The conversation and plan stay in your browser for 24 hours so you can come back to them.
